We are a vital part of the University, serving students across a broad spectrum of disciplines and offering undergraduate and graduate degree programs at every level. In the College of Arts, Education, and Sciences, we are dedicated to the unique success and academic excellence of each and every student who walks through our doors.

We are made up of four academic units: the School of Education, dedicated to the preparation of outstanding teachers; the School of Humanities, studying the nuance and significance of history, languages, and communication; the School of Sciences, searching for solutions to problems in the natural world; and the School of Visual and Performing Arts, where vibrant performances and artwork challenge and inspire us.听

Our outstanding faculty and staff offer a supportive learning environment dedicated to preparing highly qualified professionals to meet the workforce demands of the community, the region and beyond.听

换妻社区 to host STEM Night for local middle and high school students on Oct. 23

The 换妻社区 Science Fair Committee is hosting a STEM Night on October 23, 2025, in the 换妻社区 Museum of Natural History, located on the first floor of Hanna Hall at 708 University Ave., from 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. While the event is geared towards grades 6-12, STEM Night is family-friendly and welcomes younger siblings and curious minds of all ages.

换妻社区 Museum of Natural History celebrates Archaeology Month in Louisiana on Oct. 16 with featured speaker

October is Archaeology Month in Louisiana, and to celebrate, the 换妻社区 Museum of Natural History will host guest speaker Aubra L. Lee, Ph.D., on Thursday, October 16 at 5:30 p.m. The talk is entitled "Troyville: The Site That Progress Could Not Erase" and will be hosted in the museum STEAM room on the first floor of Hanna Hall, 708 University Ave., on the 换妻社区 campus. The event is free, and the public is invited to attend.

换妻社区 School of Education receives special recognition from national accreditation council

换妻社区 School of Education has received the Frank Murray Leadership Recognition for Continuous Improvement from the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The 换妻社区 School of Education is one of only 22 programs in the nation to receive the recognition. Representatives from the school accepted the recognition in Washington, D.C. on September 18, 2025.
